The Polar Bears Are Protesting!

Maybe they can do it with their clothes on! As skaters tried to make circles and figure eights underneath the big ol' Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center, the hussle and bustle seemed usual. With the Coney Island Polar Bear Club putting on a quiet protest of global warning by turning their backs on the Atlantic Ocean, something did seem peculiar in the air. That peculiarity was heat! The high temperature yesterday afternoon at approximately 1:38pm in NYC's Central Park was 72-degrees F.! Sorta makes me wish I was back in the Big Apple just for the chance to hook up with Monkey and Kenny for a ride.

Ah, but curiosities abound and can be found everywhere as long as you take the time to look. Let's just put things into perspective a bit. I stumbled upon this over at DIGG and think its pretty cool. The artist is truly talented and you can head over to Deviant Art to find more of her works. (Click on the picture for a larger view.)

Friday night is becoming the new "anything can happen day" of late. Had a really cool time playing pool at Bricktop and running into a celebrity. I first met John B. when he performed here at the Chatterbox and it was a complete blast, even though several power outs plagued the set! For those fans of qwerky and strange drum and bass need to check this guy out. Not only as an artist he is truly a gifted producer, you can find out more here. What it won't tell you is that the dude is really a cool cat and a terrific wingman!
